Coming Soon - New Book

My publisher has picked up my next book and it should be out in April 2024. This is a middle grade children’s book and, like Black Beauty, the story is told by a horse. Full Time, aka Big Guy, is a brilliant beautiful show horse accustomed to winning almost every class he enters. Age and arthritis change that and he ends up in a school horse string being used to give riding lessons.

Big Guy considers this a huge step down but this isn’t his biggest challenge. As a show horse he was not turned out with other horses for fear they might injure one another. Turned out as a herd with the school horses Big Guy’s social skills are found to be lacking. He has a lot to learn.

Kathy Connell has agreed to do the illustrations for Big Guy. The image above is of Big Guy when he was a little guy, next to his mother, Copper Harbor.
